Mackerel with Spinach

Mackerel with Spinach

Ingredients:

15 g butter
2 cloves garlic
300 g mackerel
1 dl white wine
1 dl water
a little olive oil
2 dl milk
100 g white flour
100 g baby spinach
1 teaspoon Vegeta
1 teaspoon Dalmatian spices
a little salt
200 g wholemeal pasta

Procedure:
Melt the butter over medium heat and add the garlic until lightly browned, then add the mackerel, wine, olive oil, spices and water and cook for 30 minutes, adding a little more water if necessary. Mix the milk (room temperature) and flour and pour over the cooked mackerel, then add the baby spinach and mix until everything is well combined. Add a little salt if necessary. If you like a thinner sauce, add more milk or water, but if you like a thicker sauce, add more flour.
In a separate bowl, cook the wholemeal pasta al dente

Note:
Vegeta is a brand of savoury seasonings of dehydrated vegetables, spices, and MSG, produced by Croatian food company Podravka. It is considered a staple of Eastern European cuisine.
Dalmatian spices consist of herbs with a superb blend of basil, oregano, rosemary, marjoram and thyme, which especially complements the flavor of fish preparations.
